elective elements new solutions / steelcase
Elective Elements is Steelcase’s premium wood office system. Amanda along with fellow designer Colin Nourie, designed a series of additions and enhancements for the product line that enabled it to become a single product solution while addressing the evolving demands of the open plan work environment.
The goal was to build on the existing strengths of the product line while broadening its planning capabilities, improving its performance, and delivering tailored solutions.
Building onto a well-established system, it was crucial to maintain the aesthetic character while taking into consideration the existing specification logic, manufacturing processes, installation method, and facility management.
